Under the PDPA, "personal data" refers to data about an individual who can be identified from that data. Because Haze SG operates as a stateless public environmental utility, we do not require, request, or retain any personal data from visitors.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect zero personal data. Specifically:
- No User Accounts: No registration, login, email address, name, or phone number required.
- No Financial / Billing Data: The application is 100% free with zero payment processing.
- No Cookies or Local Trackers: We do not place tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or analytics storage.
- No GPS or Location Tracking: We do not request browser geolocation access. Switching between Singapore's 5 regions (Central, North, South, West, East) is executed entirely client-side.
- No IP Address Profiling: We do not maintain user databases, behavioral heatmaps, or IP logs.
3. Environmental Public Data Sources
All air quality data displayed on this dashboard is aggregated public environmental data retrieved from official sources:
- National Environment Agency (NEA Singapore): 1-Hour PM2.5 concentrations and regional station readings.
- World Air Quality Index (WAQI) Open Data Feeds: Automated sensor station metrics.
All network communication between your browser and our internal proxy endpoint (/api/haze) is secured using HTTPS/TLS encryption.
4. Third-Party Services
Haze SG does not integrate third-party marketing SDKs, social media tracking pixels, or programmatic advertising networks. Hosting and caching are managed via secure, high-availability edge infrastructure.
